Early Soundgarden Canvassing Video

This training video was made in the early 90's but it still has a lot of good information about canvassing specifically in the Pacific Northwest. Those canvassers would have been ok if they had brought dog treats with them especially for the more vicious dogs. Also, I would have the truck driving over a John McCain sign but that's just me.

I think we can make a better training video even without Soundgarden doing the music.

In the midst of the 2008 Iowa Caucus......

A ragtag assembly of Ron Paul Army volunteers evaded heavy security to infiltrate Rudy Guliani's headquarters to stage a Ron Paul Revolution concert hosted by Slipknot.

The media remains silent to this day.......

In the not to distant future......

We will all look like we came off the set of Dune or The Matrix and we will be dropping moneybombs for Ron Paul.

To be continued........

2007 Recap

2007 was pretty uneventful until I found out that Ron Paul was running for President. I immediately donated some money and signed up to the campaign. I joined the Seattle Ron Paul Meetup group and atttended their first Meetup July 1st at Magnuson Park. There were around 100 or so Ron Paul enthusiasts which was very encouraging. I grabbed a box of 2000 slim jims and brought them home with me. The next Saturday there was another Seattle Meetup at Greenlake. This time around 20 walked around the lake with signs and handed out slim jims. This was my first introduction to homemade signs and the Ron Paul stamp. I realized that the only way a grassroots campaign can win is to use alternative campaign techniques are as I lake to say "guerilla tactics". One gentleman I talked to said he had already had a long day before he came to the lake. It turns out that he had flew in from the Iowa Straw poll and that he came directly from the airport. He had already given the max contribution and was thinking of how to donate more. I have never seen this much commitment from any candidate ever. On July 9th 2007, Ben Hinkle founded the Bellingham Ron Paul Meetup. When I joined soon after there were about 15 members. We had our first Meetup in mid-July at Boulevard Park. Fifteen people showed up and we haven't looked back since. In August I recieved a call from a member about a booth at the NW WA Fair. I thought he was talking about helping with the GOP booth but he had a crazy idea of having a Ron Paul booth. I said that I could help staff the event and create a schedule. Ben Hinkle paid for the booth with his own money and the next thing I know is that we have a booth at the Fair. The Fair was a huge success for us. Our membership really took off after that . We probably had around 40 members by the beginning of September. I had a goal of pushing to 100 members by 2008. On Dec 31st 2007 we had numbers 100 and 101 join. Today we have 126 members and we are still growing. I think 2008 is going to be even bigger and better.
